Skateboards, Penny Boards, Rip Sticks, Scooters
Many of our children enjoy two and four wheeled transport other than bicycles and cars. There are some things to bear in mind, though, when using boards and scooters in and around school.
It is advisable that children - particularly our juniors - wear helmets and pads when using skateboards. We are aware of some injuries that children have suffered recently and would like to remind them of the need to consider their personal safety.
No boards or scooters should ever be ridden in the playgrounds - particularly at the end of the day when there are young children and babies / toddlers in buggies nearby. In addition, we do not expect any child wearing our uniform to be riding a skateboard or scooter dangerously close to others in Montpelier Park.
BECAUSE OF THE NUMBER OF VISITORS WE ARE EXPECTING, NO SCOOTERS OR SKATEBOARDS SHOULD BE BROUGHT INTO SCHOOL DURING THE FETE.
At this time of year the fantastic efforts of our parents and carers come together in the form of our Annual PTA Fete. The spirit of cooperation and unity always contributes to an event that is enjoyed by our children and helps raise funds for important educational projects throughout the year. For our year 6 children, this is the start of an exciting half term where they will also be rehearsing for their leavers' production, contributing to the year book, receiving a leavers' gift and preparing to say farewell. Before then, there is much to do!
