Children love being on time
Children should be in their classrooms at 8.55 so it is important they arrive in good time. This year I will be focusing on punctuality at the start of the day and, in terms of collection, at the end of day. In the infants, after 8.55 your child must be taken to the classroom by a member of staff. They will be marked late. In the juniors, the gate will CLOSE at 8.55 and, again, children will be marked as being late. Every child should arrive no later than 8.45am.
After a lovely summer break it was great to see our children returning today for a fresh start to the new academic year. Whilst our youngest children are at the start of their new school lives, it was also pleasing to learn about those who left us in July and the positive start they are making at their respective high schools. So, we wish them well and now welcome our Nursery and Reception children to what I hope will be a happy, successful and rewarding time at Montpelier. For the children who have returned for a new school year, this is a good time to set their sights on being as ambitious as possible during a year of interesting and active opportunities.
