Ms Harvey returned from Calais over the half term having delivered warm clothing, blankets and sleeping bags to refugees. Last week Miss Fortet also delivered two carloads of food to the Food Bank at Hanwell Community Centre. Thank you to all who donated to two such worthy causes. This is something for the Montpelier community to be especially proud of.
Last half term we finished our International Week with the annual highlight of the International Food Fair which was a resounding success, due to the commitment and hard work of the Parent Teacher Association (http://montpelierpta.org.uk/international-food-fair). The opportunity to share the world’s kitchen with our children and staff is both an exciting and, increasingly, vital part of the education offered here. Events over the past few days have reminded us of the need to recognise and cherish all that is positive about our diverse and harmonious local community. The strength of our values at Montpelier is central to our success and achievements. This was confirmed to me by many of the 40 parents who toured our school this week in the hope their child might be successful in gaining a place here next year.
