Punctuality and morning line up
Thank you for the continued improvement this half term regarding punctuality, it has made a real difference to the beginning of the day for everyone within the school. To avoid being marked late, please remember that the final whistle is blown at 8.55am, so it is best to ensure your child is in the playground by 8.45am. Please help us by moving away from lines in the morning once the bell has been rung, as this allows the attending staff to have full visibility of the children and ensure their safety. We will be sending an important letter about this in due course.
Last half term we finished our International Week with the annual highlight of the International Food Fair which was a resounding success, due to the commitment and hard work of the Parent Teacher Association (http://montpelierpta.org.uk/international-food-fair). The opportunity to share the world’s kitchen with our children and staff is both an exciting and, increasingly, vital part of the education offered here. Events over the past few days have reminded us of the need to recognise and cherish all that is positive about our diverse and harmonious local community. The strength of our values at Montpelier is central to our success and achievements. This was confirmed to me by many of the 40 parents who toured our school this week in the hope their child might be successful in gaining a place here next year.
