Montpelier was recognised, this past month, as one of the most active schools in London using Cyber Pass. Cyber Pass is a website that quizzes pupils on their knowledge of Internet safety. Additionally, they may also access a range of different e-safety based activities, tips and websites. Through this, we want to ensure that children are aware of the dangers online and how to keep themselves safe. Cyber Pass is available through each child’s myUSO. Please encourage your children in years 5 and 6 to continue logging on to this website at home and to try out some more of the activities available.
Last half term we finished our International Week with the annual highlight of the International Food Fair which was a resounding success, due to the commitment and hard work of the Parent Teacher Association (http://montpelierpta.org.uk/international-food-fair). The opportunity to share the world’s kitchen with our children and staff is both an exciting and, increasingly, vital part of the education offered here. Events over the past few days have reminded us of the need to recognise and cherish all that is positive about our diverse and harmonious local community. The strength of our values at Montpelier is central to our success and achievements. This was confirmed to me by many of the 40 parents who toured our school this week in the hope their child might be successful in gaining a place here next year.
