Last term Year 6 visited the Imperial War Museum as part of the history curriculum centred around WW2. While they were there, the pupils took part in a workshop called “Through children’s eyes”, which allowed them to explore historical evidence and artefacts of those who experienced evacuation of some form. This engaging activity helped the pupils to build a picture of life during WW2 through another’s eyes and, in particular, showed what it was like for children. In addition, Year 6 should be congratulated for their remarkable attitude and behaviour during the trip, which was noted by members of the museum and the general public (Ms Warren).
During a term that is much shorter than the last, we have many achievements to be proud of and more to anticipate over the rest of the academic year.
