National Insurance Numbers

We recently sent a request to parents and carers for National Insurance numbers. I fully understand that some parents and carers do not wish to divulge this information and am sensitive to that. Unfortunately, the school will lose Pupil Premium Funding - £1300 per child - if we do not receive this information from those families where income support or benefits either have been / are received, are currently being received or may be in the future. Previously, we knew when a child was eligible for Free School Meals but now do not have that information for children in the Reception and Infants. Therefore, the school cannot receive Pupil Premium funding it may be entitled to. This money is used to pay for teaching staff who focus upon making sure that no child falls behind academically. Without this funding, we will inevitably have to spread our support more thinly and this, in fact, may affect every child. The school will not hold your information - it will be passed immediately to the Council and all records here will be deleted. I urge you to send in this information if you have not already done so.

In this newsletter we focus upon important safety matters, our forthcoming  International Week, events for parents & carers and news about our recent Enabling Enterprise competition. We would also be very grateful if you could complete the brief online survey about food and eating habits within this edition.
